Why should this person be nominated? (What makes nominee unique; why should they be selected the winner of this category?
Monica has spent the past six years as a program aide at Alzheimer's Family Services Center (AFSC), handling all of our participants’ personal care needs, food service, and assisting with activities.


What is this nominee’s involvement in senior care or senior issues
Monica is the very definition of a compassionate caregiver. Each morning, she greets participants with a cheerful hello and a great big hug when needed. Monica takes the time to get to know each one – what they will and won’t respond to, what makes them smile, and even how they take their coffee! When difficult or challenging situations arise, Monica rises to the occasion and goes the extra mile to make sure participants at Alzheimer’s Family Services Center (AFSC) receive the love and care they need. Her warm smile and exuberant personality can always brighten the day of a participant. Monica takes such pride in her job as a caregiver, and provides only the highest standard of excellence when caring for AFSC’s participants.
