Prepare to Nominate

Nominations and Voting are open from June 1st through August 31st. All instructions and a “How to” will be available at that time.

There are no geographic restrictions and no cost associated with nominating. If you want to be prepared to enter your nomination, simply write a draft now – get the background information on your nominee and think about their “story.” WHY are they a hero? Is there a particular instance where they went above and beyond their job description that you can share?

Nominate: Before you may nominate a Senior Care Hero, you must create a profile by registering. Look at the upper, right-hand corner of the Senior Care Hero Awards (or SCHA) site and click on Create an Account*. It’s a simple process. Then, starting June 1st, you may go to the “Nominate” link and nominate as many people as you wish. If you are already registered, simply enter your username and password and then go to the “Nominate” link.

Vote: Starting June 1st, if you wish to vote for a nominee, and have already created a profile, simply enter your username and password in the upper right-hand corner. Then, go to the person’s profile for whom you wish to vote and click on the “Vote” box on their profile. If you haven’t created a profile, click on Create an Account* in the upper, right-hand corner of the SCHA site and do so. You may vote once a day, every day until voting closes on August 31st.

*We do not share your information with anyone outside of SeniorServ. We require the account in case we need to contact you with questions about a nomination and/or to ensure no one votes more than once a day.

Categories: There are two types of nominations – one is for People’s Choice awards, and the other is for health care professionals.

People’s Choice Categories (3) – members of the community at large
