Why should this person be nominated? (What makes nominee unique; why should they be selected the winner of this category?
For the past three years Julie has devoted most of her free time to working with participants at Alzheimer's Family Services Center as a volunteer. Julie's day at the center may consist of painting, playing games or leading a cooking lesson and it alway includes a genuine, loving connection to our participants.

What is this nominee’s involvement in senior care or senior issues
Julie is a gift to AFSC. She is a natural with our population and truly loves our participants. They know her by name and miss her when she's not around. Julie always has a smile on her face and brings a loving presence to the agency. She has the unique ability to work with each individual to understand what brings them joy and how to add value and fun to thier day. In our modern society, where care or even acknowledment of the older poulation can be lacking, Julie's compassion and care are rare qualities.
