What is this nominee’s involvement in senior care or senior issues
Noemi has a heart of gold and she often finds a way to keep residents in her home, even if they cannot afford the usual cost. Early this year I recommended her home to a very confused elderly woman, who was living in a senior apartment, and was no longer able to safely care for herself. Unexpectedly, this lady took a cab and showed up at Noemi's door with few belongings and no money. Many people would have turned her away, but Noemi took her in and paid her own money for needed medications and diapers, agreeing to accept only her minimal Social Security income as payment. She stayed there until she passed away, and Noemi always treated her the same as a full-paying resident. She was happy to be able to help when it was needed, and never complained. Noemi truly exemplifies someone with a servant's heart who makes a quiet difference in this caring profession for all the right reasons.
