Why should this person be nominated? (What makes nominee unique; why should they be selected the winner of this category?
Ms. Mimi Ngo, age 48 moved to OC from Arizona to care for her frail and sick parents (ages 87 &83) for the past 5 years. Her parents have Alzheimer's and other medical issues who need total care and supervision. Her parents have multiple hospitalization and medical treatments. Ms. Ngo has no other option but to stop working to care for her parents fulltime at home since she want them at home.

What is this nominee’s involvement in senior care or senior issues
Ms. Ngo is a devoted, caring and compassionate individual who would put her parents' needs before her own. She has limited support from family members, financial stressors and struggles with caregiving responsibilities, exhaustion, depression and anxiety. In Spite of the challenges, Ms. Ngo has a great coping skills and is willing to ask for help to utilize available resources to help her parents and herself i.e,, she attends support group, received counseling and also uses Adult Day Services for respite with the help from Caregiver Resource Center. It is a great honor for me to share her caregiving’s story with you and to nominate Ms. Ngo for Family Member Hero- People Choice
