Why should this person be nominated
There are too many reasons why he deserves to be recognized, I cannot list all of them, but I can definitely tell you why. There are social workers and there are social workers. Among caring individuals in our lifetime Gilbert broke the mold. When he meets with a patient or their family for the first time they notice his very unique smile and approachable personality. Immediately, they feel like they’ve known him for years. No matter how challenging the situation, he always finds the solution and/or resources for his patients.
I can’t say enough about him, I can keep bragging about his work ethic, his passion and his dedication towards senior care, but no matter what I say it’s not going to describe how amazing this individual is. He is truly a hero. He is a hero not only at his job, but also in the community. Did I mention that he is Spiritual Director, Adult Faith Formation Catechist and Jail Ministry?
He is the current president of ACMA, and he makes sure that all the members /Case Manages, and Social workers are hold the higher standards and go above and beyond helping our senior community.
He has worked at different hospitals over the years and in every single one of them, he has gotten a recognition for his outstanding work ethic and dedication. His supervisors have told him good job, but rarely has gotten a thank you from them. It’s time to recognize him and make sure that we let him know how much he is helping others and making a difference.
Gilbert Dorado started with Providence Little Company of Mary-San Pedro in December 2016 as the Director of Case Management. Gilbert was promoted to Administrative Director Behavioral Health and Care Management in February 2018. Within this position he was responsible for the Nurse Case Managers and Social Workers in the following departments, Medical Units, Bridges, Sub-Acute Care center, Emergency Room, Psychiatric Intensive Outpatient Program. He was instrumental in the implementation of the Outpatient Behavioral Health Center and oversees the social workers within the units. Over the last year Gilbert has led the installation of Readmissions and Transportation Committees. Gilbert has a Master’s degree in Social Work, is a Licensed Clinical Social Work, Accredited Case Manager and President of the ACMA Southern Region.
Gilbert demonstrates outstanding leadership and tireless efforts in addressing all staffs concern. His skills do not end with his office work. He projects a warm, cheerful attitude as a Spiritual Director, Adult Faith Formation Catechist and Jail Ministry. Gilbert has resolved conflicts and handled other difficult situations with remarkable patience and admirable tact. In the community he goes out of his way to help people in need by organizing church events. He loves people, works hard, and always tries to lift the spirits of those around him. Gilbert honorable characteristics makes him a worthy recipient of The Senior Award Winner.
