Describe how your Nominee has exceeded his or her Job Description, becoming a hero to you or others. Provide an example or as much detail as possible of the things that they do that go above and beyond their job description.
Kelli is a hero for a vast number of members in the San Jose area. She works along side a team who all provide excellent care to seniors in need, but she goes above and beyond every day. Whether it is to make a late day visit to someone needing an over the counter medication and has no way to get it, or if someone needs a treatment given at 6:00 in the evening. She does it with a smile and a truly serving heart.
On a personal note, she was the one to not only take me to the ER when I was training her, but stayed with me, took care of my personal belongings, communicated with my family, all while I was diagnosed with a recurrent cancer and required hospitalization away from home. Not only did she treat me like someone she knew, but really had only just met, but her genuine care for me and my family shone through every day, just as her care for all of our patients has ever since.
Kelli has learned how to balance her work and her life. She and here wife have 2 beautiful, active children who enjoy all the fun of competitive sports for their age groups. Kelli manages this balance with the same positive attitude she displays every day to her patients, her co-workers and her supervisors. She displays "Grace under fire"! She is a HERO .
